My Everything

Good Monday morning, friends! How was your weekend? Mine was restful. I needed it after spending my vacation time rehearsing my future. It was an insightful experience, and now I’m even more eager to get started, but I’ll wait until I get the green light.

Often times, we’re so eager to jump into the future that we ignore the beauty of the present. Last week, I scheduled everything — even breaks, naps, and short walks through my community. I stuck to my schedule, but I also cut myself some slack when necessary. The work was invigorating because I knew whose agenda I was ultimately addressing. During one of my walks, this beautiful butterfly fluttered along the path in front of me almost as if it were inviting me to join her on her journey. I did for a bit until she detoured into a wooded area. I definitely didn’t have on the right shoes for that leg of the journey (at least not yet).

This little lesson in nature taught me that we can only go as far as the Lord allows. He’s very protective of his children and will guide us and redirect us for all the days of our lives. I’m grateful for his blessed assurance that he is mine and I am his. Take comfort in knowing that you are dearly loved by a GREAT God. May blessings abound! <3

Take a little time to enjoy LaRue Howard’s version of “How Great Is Our God.” I hope you love it as much as I do.
