Day 30 – Chosen

There are times in our lives when we are called to be a light in the darkness. Now is that time — this is the sign you’ve been waiting for. Be a calming presence and representative of God’s love. Let your entire being shine like a beacon — a cynosure in these times. You will be amazed by the difference that one light can make.

You have been chosen for such a time as this. Use the tools and the knowledge that you’ve gained in these past few weeks to encourage and equip others to clean up their messes and to surrender their bags at the feet of Jesus. You can’t take that stuff with you in this new life or the life after this. Use your gifts wisely. Steward the ones that God has already highlighted to do kingdom work. If your gift is hospitality, be hospitable. If you are gifted at decorating, make this world beautiful. If you are gifted at making things grow, don your gloves and get growing. Don’t wait for someone else to do what you’ve been dreaming about doing; that’s your assignment. Get to work on it, and submit it to Father. He will give you feedback and all that you need to make it better.

Never allow the Dark One to extinguish your light. Instead, cry out to God, and he will order his angels to protect you. Remember that you can do nothing apart from him, so talk to him about your dreams, goals, and your needs. He already knows, and he IS a mind reader, but there’s an intimacy to sharing your deepest thoughts with God. If you want a closer relationship with him, you must make moves in his direction. He’ll never infringe upon your free will and force you to move, so take that step now. There’s absolutely nothing to fear here.

As this series draws to a close, know that this is only the beginning of your new life. I’m a living witness that God provides all that we need. This challenge was as much for me as it was for all of you. I trusted God to give me the words each day as I committed to writing for 30 days, and he did not fail me. I prepped an outline of 30 things to write about, and I may have used one. He allowed me to pour out my ideas on paper, but he poured into me each day. The Holy Spirit literally spoke to me and gave me the wash cycle and the weather phenomena used in this series as metaphors for life and transformation. My mind has officially been blown. All glory to God!

Take a little time to share this challenge with others. Start here to begin the challenge again. I’ve decided to add resources to each day so that I may publish it sometime this year. Please pray for me as I navigate these unfamiliar waters, and I’ll continue to pray for you as journey with Jesus. May blessings abound! <3
