Happy Monday, friends! Let’s get ready to greet the day with confidence, strength, and love for the one who made you exactly the way that you are — fearfully and wonderfully made.
I know that God made me to be a bridge builder — someone who helps others connect to the resources and human capital they need in order to do what they’ve been called to do. Something inside of me is always seeking balance in my life and that of others. He has given me a magnetic personality to attract those in need of my gifts. Whether you need a good laugh or a swift kick, I’m your girl. I don’t always like that I have that personality because it’s draining. When I’m drained, the other less-desirable personality rears its ugly head, reminding me that I need to rest.
I’d love to say that my office hours are from this time to that time, but God sets my office hours according to the needs of his people. When I’m feeling exhausted, he sends in reinforcements every single time. Sometimes I ask for help; other times he just does it because he knows what I need.
God also wants me to continue teaching. Even though I left the classroom four years ago, he has allowed me to facilitate bible studies through the Women’s Ministry at my church, but he has also given me this virtual classroom — this blog which allows me to connect with people from all over the world — places I’ve only seen on a globe. With this blog, I can honor him by using a few of the gifts he’s given me. I’m using my voice and this ministry tool to encourage and empower others to reach their full potential.
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. ~Psalm 34:8
Whatever you do, do it for him. You are not competing with anyone except yourself. Do whatever you can to bring a smile to God’s face, and it starts with drawing close to him. Carve out some time for him today, and just say thank you, Lord for making me exactly the way that I am. I promise to give you all the glory as I grow in confidence and spread your message of hope. Thank you for giving me a voice and an audience. Your prayer may be a little different, but take a little time to give thanks.
So, what will you do today to bring a smile to his face? Are you doing what he has called you to do? Join me in the comments and share your passion. What did God create you to do like no one else can?
Before you leave, turn up the volume and listen to my Music Monday selection from Steven Curtis Chapman entitled Do Everything.
Happy Monday! I hope you a week full of love and goodness.
Thanks so much! Wishing you a great week as well. <3
I like the upbeat and positive tone of this post! It’s always so important to express gratitude!
Hi! Thanks for reading, Marsha. Gratitude should be a staple in every aspect of our lives.
This made my evening. You never know when something unexpected will speak to you. Thank you!!
Amen, Ty! This is why I blog, Sis. <3
I love this! I have been down a bit for a myriad of reasons – one being I am unsure of my gift. I think I may know but it too drains me because I remain unsure if that is what I have been called to do. Your post has challenged me to bolder in my gift- as if it is sure to be just that then it will make room for me! Blessings my friend. You are a light indeed!
Thanks for the kind feedback, Tiffinay. You have many gifts. Please don’t limit yourself. Hospitality is definitely one of your spiritual gifts, but you have so much more. You’re an encourager/exhorter too! I’ll have to find a spiritual gifts assessment to share with you. <3
Such a positive post for a Monday morning! I’ve been blessed with sharing my life experiences to help others. Trough my trials and tribulations and being a single mother that went through a stalking experience going on nine years I’m able to be a light to someone by the strength of God that’s going through their dark times. Thanks for sharing!
Darkness is as light to God. He’ll find you and lead you home every time. I’m so sorry you had that experience, but I bet you learned a major lesson from it. I pray that it is resolved and in the past, Daria. <3
Thank you for the lovely reminder. God is using you to impact others with messages of love and encouragement and I am bless with this post today!

Steven Curtis Chapman has some really great songs. This post was very inspirational.
Thanks so much, Elle.
Developing spiritual confidence and awakening has been at the front of my to-do list for months now. I’ve been working through a few devotionals and I have learned that the learning never stops. Your faith deepens. This was right on time.
Thanks for reading and taking the time to give me a little feedback. Drawing closer to God is necessary, Keisha. Wishing you well in your journey! <3
