Be Strong & Courageous

Start your week off strong! Today’s message comes from 2 Timothy 1:7 and Joshua 1:9 — two of my favorite memory verses. I rely on these reminders to bolster me when I am weak, and it is my prayer that they strengthen you as well.

“For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” ~2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)

“Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” ~ Joshua 1:9 (AMP)

These are two meaty verses that will sustain you for the week (if not a lifetime). Meditate on them throughout the week. Share this post with anyone who may need a Monday morning pick me up, and make sure you tell them that God is always at work — even when you fail to see it made manifest.

Have a wonderful week, and enjoy my Music Monday selection from Casting Crowns.

  1. Thank you for this blessing…you are such a beautiful soul….you words, the scripture, and the fantastic song are so encouraging and inspiring….have a great week, Michelle πŸ™‚

  2. Thanks you for this reminder, the sign of true strength comes by faith. Lately I felt like I’ve been losing grip with both, but this just made my morning. Writing about staying positive is easy because we tend to write for other, but sometimes is takes the words of others to reassure and motivate us.
I wish we were not poles apart, I could clearly see a collaborative partnership growing between us πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks so much, Etta. I’m blessed to have such a warm, encouraging blogging community to fellowship with. Honey, poles can’t keep us from collaborating! We can host an online party together, collaborate on posts, etc. Anything we do to glorify God will work! Have a lovely day, my friend! <3
